Malteser International Americas serves as the humanitarian arm of the Sovereign Order of Malta in the Western Hemisphere, upholding nearly a millennium of commitment to serving the sick and the poor. Malteser International Americas cares for the most vulnerable among us by providing aid to people affected by poverty, disease, conflict and disaster throughout North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean.
Malteser International Americas is a branch of Malteser International, the worldwide humanitarian relief agency of the Order of Malta. It provides emergency aid and long-term support to vulnerable communities in crisis zones across the globe. In recent years, the White Cross Ball of New York City has also supported the work of Malteser International, including its critical response in Ukraine, where teams continue to provide medical aid, shelter, and psychological support to those affected by war and displacement.

Malteser International America’s response to emergencies is done in consultation with local populations, including local organizations, leaders, and authorities, to learn what their needs are, and to ensure that they are active participants in rebuilding their communities. Their efforts prioritize public health, access to clean water and sanitation, maternal care, and the psychosocial well-being of vulnerable groups.
